In August, when we did a Jane Austen Blog week, I wrote a poem about Marianne. I decided that Elinor deserved one as well. Enjoy!

ElinorBy Lexi CopyRight
You who listen but never speaks,
Who wants to be found but never seeks,
You who sees all the tears,
But who cannot release her fears,
You who hold the world in hand,
But yourself alone must stand,
You due the duty without a word,
You feel the pain but no reward,
You who yearns just as deep,
But who holds your dreams asleep,
You who never builds up high,
Dreams and castles in the sky,
You who would never believe,
That maybe one day you would receive,
Receive, yes, a love that true,
Meant for one, and that one, you,
Lift up your eyes and comprehend,
You too will have a happy end!
So simply and elegantly written, just like Elinor herself! You did a lovely job! :)
