Christmas Aftermath

 Merry CHRISTmas friends! I hope your holiday passed well and that it was made extra special by the worshiping of the King of Kings, the little babe in the manger!
I had a fabulous time at our Candle-light service on Christmas Eve. It is a profound time, and filled my heart with a lot of cheer! The sewing was all done by Christmas Eve, so that meant time to relax! We also did a potluck style dinner, so I didn't have to cook much this year! We did the bird though, and it was so huge! My grandfather bought a 25lb Turkey, and the smell was so intense from that baby! It still smells today!

And of course I wore a costume!=)

For Christmas Day I wore this dress, my refashioned gown I did this fall.
I love the turban!

The dress itself is
really slim now that I removed the puffy skirt!
 What do you all think? I really like it!

Today we went Thrift Store shopping to get some winter needs taken care of, since it was the 50% off sale.  I really think God blessed our efforts at trying to be frugal.  For that I am thankful!
Among some more necessary items, I found these:

A new belt! I really like belts with elastic *smile*
 A spare pair of boots...They are brand new and I paid $6 for them. I love the ones I got for my birthday from my grandma, so I figured I should pick these up and put them in my closet for next year. I am slowing figuring out is smart to buy things when you find them on sale, rather than rushing around with shoes duck-taped together!

A purse with a shoulder strap. I really did not need this bag, but it wasn't much and I loved it so...yeah=)

 This next item is actually a gift for a little cowgirl I know! Isn't it cute? I actually know two little girls who would like this, so I have some figuring to do!

And I wanted to show off my birthday boots! I really am grateful to my grandma for them!

Much love, Lexi
