Wedding Days...

Wedding days...
from getting ready and nervous jitters,
from zipping up the dress and rounding up the flower girls,
from the dazzling evening sun falling upon the garden, and the groom's first glance of the bride,
to the "I do's" and exchaning of the leis.

Then there is the cheering as the bride and groom kiss...and kiss again, and then all melts around the garden in a golden halo as guests scatter to eat and butterflies meet flowers in a glittering kiss of their own.

The vows said, the night waned, and a fabulous union was started.

Glory to God in the highest....
Who brought a man a woman together, two hearts, made one.

In a few pictures, this is their story, just one day of their story actually...a story that has only just begun.

The bride eats and gets her hair styled...

 And the bridesmaids too...

Friends  giggle...

Flower children scamper about...

Makeup is applied...

Jewelry is fastened...

Petals are prepared...

Petal children are gathered together from varying corners...

Guests get ready...

Anticipation hangs in the air...

And the groom appears, expectant...

Bride and Groom...

The leis appear...

Bride greets her new mother,
Groom greets his new mother, respect and promises gently whispered...

And the kiss, cheers roar through the air...

It is done!

Meanwhile, the guests...

Sisters...

Myself...

Family...

Parental units-(its their 29th anniversary too!)...

We all went to dinner, amid floating flowers and reflecting candles- praying a blessing for the happy couple...
